On Tuesday of this week (26th March) I ran another wine tour to the Ronda area. Over the last month or two we have had a lot of rain and the soil in many areas cannot retain any more water. At the first winery walking around the vineyard was like walking on a sponge. The abundance of water meant that there were lots of beautiful small white flowers between the vines as you can see below.
The vineyard is in a fantastic setting as it looks down the valley to the now very full reservoir with part of the town of Zahara de la Sierra visible with the castle on top of the hill.
In the last photo, taken at the second vineyard we visited, you can just make out a few buds that are starting to appear on the vine.
