Yesterday we left the Rioja region and headed for the wonderful Basque city of San Sebastian. Anyone who has a keen interest in eating well knows that this city is a Mecca for foodies. For its size it has more Michelin-starred restaurants than anywhere else. It also has an amazing number of great pintxo bars. Pintxos are displayed on the bar and are often on a piece of bread and they can be anything; meat, seafood, vegetables and are often very creative. At lunchtime, we installed ourselves in a great bar and feasted ourselves on pintxos and txacoli, the local fresh, acidic white wine.
