Yesterday was a beautiful day in SanSebastian so I spent a few hours walking around.

We then went for lunch at one of the world’s best restaurants, Arzak. The restaurant has had 3 Michelin stars since 1989. It is run by Juan Mari Arzak and his daughter Elena. Yesterday, Juan Mari wasn’t there as he was in Madrid for a television programme. I am not going to write about everything that we ate as it would be a very long blog entry.
It was a fantastic meal of very creative dishes with amazing flavours that in each dish were completely harmonious. I only took one photo of food during the meal as I wanted to concentrate on what I was eating and enjoy the company of my clients or friends as they have become. Well, the photo below is is called Monkfish Cleopatra and is grilled monkfish with pecan nut paste and hieroglyphic forms of pumpkin and chickpeas.
The meal was accompanied by some great wines which can be seen in the photo below.
I could not leave the retaurant wthout having my photo taken with Elena Arzak, whose skill as chef provided us with an unforgettable experience
